A new program will teach Williamson County teens about Texas Law.
Based on the book by Judge Christopher Cypert, "What Every Teen Should Know About Texas Law" is designed for high school juniors and seniors as a way of introducing teens to Texas law, according to a news release.
This 10-week program is free and includes topics such as obtaining a driver's license, insurance, traffic tickets, crashes, personal relationships, consumer credit, leases, roommates, moving out early, car repairs, registration and inspection, vacations, social media and getting a job, among other topics, the release said.
The class is put on by the Office of Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Evelyn McLean.
