Georgetown officials are asking for community input in using the city’s logo as a centerpiece of a new city flag. The burnt orange script G, as well as the city’s name and year of establishment, would be placed on a white background and flown during ceremonial occasions, the survey states. Through a two-question survey, residents are asked to give feedback on the design. The discussion started in late February when Mayor Dale Ross submitted the idea during a City Council meeting. “I think this is our brand,” Ross said at the time. “I think that would look lovely on a white background.” The logo, which was adopted in 2005, can now be found all over the city.
