Faith Thomas, the owner of Frozen Flamingo in Georgetown, announced that the cold treat shop located off Williams Drive is for sale.
The business is operating on the assumption that this will be its final summer, and is planning to permanently close Sept. 30.
What we know
Frozen Flamingo sells frozen custard, shaved ice and frozen cocktails, and offers a variety of flavors, toppings and add-ins.
In a video posted to social media, Thomas said she took over ownership of the business when she was 22 and is now approaching age 30. She said she's grateful for all the lessons she's learned in her time owning the business.
"I've decided that it's OK to outgrow things that you once really wished for or prayed for," Thomas said in the video.
Thomas said the business has specials planned for the remainder of the summer. The business will also carry its popular pumpkin custard during the month of September.
