Flix Brewhouse Frisco/Little Elm location to return with movies, craft beer

Flix Brewhouse's location in Frisco/Little Elm is on track to reopen soon at 1660 FM 423, Frisco.

Little Elm Town Council approved an amended agreement between Flix Entertainment, Main Marketplace and Little Elm Economic Development Corp. on Oct. 19 that listed an opening date no later than Dec. 15.

CEO Allan Reagan announced the nationwide closure of Flix Brewhouses in a November 2020 Facebook post, citing the “third wave” of the COVID-19 pandemic preventing staff from providing a safe “out-of-home entertainment experience.”

One year later, the theaters plan to reopen with “a ton of really fun special programming,” according to the Frisco/Little Elm location’s Facebook page. Customers who are part of the cinema brewery’s loyalty program did not lose any points during the closure, the post said.

A spokesperson for Flix Entertainment said the return was influenced by “popularity” of the location.

Flix Brewhouse is known for its full-service theater experience, which includes the Flix pub and various food menus. The Frisco/Little Elm location brews up to 12 in-house beers at a time, in addition to dozens of other draft beers and nonalcoholic drinks. The pub will be open to the public upon reopening, so no movie ticket will be required.
