It is the weekend before Halloween, and there are plenty of things to do with the family in Frisco. Here are six things to do this weekend:
Friday: Trick-or-Treat at Frisco Fire Safety Town
Hosted at Frisco Fire Safety Town, children are invited to come in costume and trick-or-treat inside the mini-town. Free remote parking is available at the Frisco Athletic Center, 5828 Nancy Jane Lane. The free event takes place from 6-9 p.m. at 8601 Gary Burns Drive.
Saturday: Gary Burns Fun Run
The annual Gary Burns Fun Run benefits the Frisco Education Foundation and the Gary Burns Memorial Scholarship. Race day registration begins at 6:30 a.m. at Toyota Stadium, 9200 World Cup Way. Entry is $35 for adults and $25 for students and children. The one-mile walk and fun run begins at 8 a.m., and the 5K begins at 8:30 a.m. The event includes other festivities.
Saturday: Frisco Better Block
The Better Block Foundation is a nonprofit that educates and equips communities and their leaders to reshape and reactivate established environments. Frisco’s one-day event will turn the Ball Park Plaza area into “the most walkable place in Frisco” and will include workshops, food trucks, RoughRiders Fall Festival, Frisco Farmers Market and bike lanes. The free event takes place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Ball Park Plaza, 7600 John Q. Hammons Drive.
