Fulshear Simonton Fire Department sales tax collection denied by voters

Fulshear Simonton Fire Department residents denied a sales tax election for the district in the Nov. 4 election, according to unofficial results from Fort Bend County.

If the bond package passes, it would raise the district’s tax rate by $0.16 per $100 valuation of a home—about $60 per month, or $720 annually, for a home with a taxable value of $450,000. (Jamaal Ellis/Community Impact)
