Denton ISD announced on its communications channels that district schools and facilities will reopen Monday, Feb. 2.

The announcement states that classes will resume normal schedules, as well as before- and after-school activities.
Bus schedules will also operate as normal and school cafeterias will have breakfast and lunch ready, according to the announcement.
The statement comes after the district cancelled classes and extracurricular activities from Jan. 26-30 due to extreme cold weather from Winter Storm Fern.
The district made updated announcements throughout the week on the status of roads and the conditions of campuses. Many roads by the schools and some campuses were considered dangerous to navigate due to icy conditions, prompting the district closure.
