Denton ISD offers free breakfast, lunch to students during summer months

Denton ISD now has free breakfast and lunch meals for district students during the summer break.

The context

Denton ISD Child Nutrition will have the free meals for kids 18 and under at select campuses within the distinct, according to a DISD social media post.

The meals are served daily during weekdays, and kids do not need to sign up to receive the breakfast or lunch options. However, kids must be on-site to receive the meals, according to the district.

There will be eight DISD campuses offering breakfast and/or lunch. The majority of the campuses will have these offerings through the end of July.
