New gyms and multifamily housing are coming to Dallas-Fort Worth, according to documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Check out these five construction permits filed around the Metroplex. This list is not comprehensive.
1. Twin Creeks Active Adult
A new multifamily development in Allen called Twin Creeks Active Adult from developer CB Jeni Homes is scheduled to start construction in mid-July, TDLR documents state. The development will cover about 6.5 acres and have three stories.

- Estimated timeline: July 15, 2026-Aug. 31, 2028
- Estimated cost: $39.53 million
Information technology company SHI International will finish out the interior of an office building in north Fort Worth near Texas Motor Speedway, TDLR documents show. The space will cover about 530,000 square feet and cost about $20 million.
