North FM 423



A multiple-year project to replace FM 423's existing two-lane asphalt road with a six-lane concrete roadway from Eldorado Parkway to US 380 is expected to begin in September, provided utilities are relocated by that time. Construction was initially delayed because of right of way acquisition and a utility relocation problem. The project includes drainage, signals and lighting.



Timeline: The estimated completion date is July 2018.



Cost: $29.8 million

Coit Road



Work to construct two lanes on the west side of Coit Road from Country Ridge Trail to Panther Creek Parkway is about 20 percent complete. Road work includes constructing a median from Buckeye Drive to Panther Creek. The project has been modified to include water and wastewater lines to support nearby development.



Timeline: Construction is anticipated to be complete by March 2015.



Cost: $1.5 million

Panther Creek Parkway



Work to construct two lanes on Panther Creek Parkway from Honey Grove Drive to Coit Road is about 20 percent complete. The project has been modified to include water and wastewater lines to support nearby development and is being constructed with the Coit Road project. Panther Creek is closed between Honey Grove and Coit until the project is completed.



Timeline: Construction is expected to be complete by March 2015.

Custer Road



The Collin County Commissioners Court on Aug. 18 approved an interlocal agreement with the city of Frisco for the city to take over construction of a portion of Custer Road from McKinney. The three-mile portion of the road, between Rolater Road and SH 121, would be widened from four to six lanes.



Timeline: Construction could begin as early as next summer

Rockhill Parkway



(Dallas Parkway to Preston Road)



Work to construct a new six-lane divided concrete roadway from Dallas Parkway to Preston Road is about 30 percent complete. The project includes paving, bridge construction, retaining walls, drainage, a water transmission line, lighting, landscaping and irrigation.



Timeline: Construction is expected to be complete by September 2015.



Cost: $20.5 million

East Main Street



Major construction on East Main Street from Preston Road to Custer Road continues. The project will replace the existing two-lane asphalt roadway with a divided, six-lane concrete roadway. The project also includes drainage, traffic signals, roadway lighting and landscaping.



Timeline: Construction is about 45 percent complete and is expected to be finished in summer 2015.

East Stonebrook Parkway



Work continues on Stonebrook Parkway from Dallas Parkway to Preston Road. The project, which is about 90 percent complete, includes rebuilding Stonebrook Parkway and widening it from four to six lanes.



Timeline: Construction is anticipated to be finished soon.

West Stonebrook Parkway



Construction on Stonebrook Parkway west of the Dallas North Tollway is ongoing to connect Stonebrook from Fighting Eagles Lane to Longhorn trail. The project is about 65 percent complete. Stonebrook Parkway will eventually be six lanes from FM 423 to Preston Road.



Timeline: The project is scheduled to be finished by June 2015.
