The cookie store, which will be located across from the University of Texas at Dallas campus, is known for serving warm cookies, ice cream, and more sweets as late as 3 a.m. The Richardson location will be the fifth store in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Insomnia Cookies offers in-store, pickup, and delivery options for customers to experience their full menu, which includes a full slate of vegan options and a frequently-rotating limited-edition lineup. Founded in a University of Pennsylvania dorm room in 2003, the company has expanded to more than 225 locations nationwide, including 15 in the state of Texas.
The new store is expected to deliver to students at the University of Texas at Dallas, Dallas College’s Richland Campus, and the surrounding neighborhoods of North Dallas, Plano, and Addison. Insomnia is currently hiring part-time cookie crew members, delivery drivers, and shift leaders.
In celebration of the new Richardson store, Insomnia Cookies will be holding a late-night in-store grand opening celebration Sept. 10 from 8 p.m.-3 a.m. Those who visit the new store will receive a free classic cookie. Customers will also have the opportunity to enter giveaway contests in-store.
Insomnia is scheduled to be open from 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m.-3 a.m. Thursday and Friday, 12 p.m.-3 a.m. Saturday and 12 p.m.-1 a.m. Sunday.
