Richardson is holding its annual fall festival, previously known as the Huffhines Art Trails, on Oct. 15-16 at Huffhines Park.

The annual fall festival, now rebranded as the Huffhines Harvest Fest, will be held at 300 N. Plano Road, Richardson.

The free two-day festival will include all the traditional favorites that visitors have experienced for 47 years, including one of the largest arts and crafts shows in North Texas, live performances from local artists, fall photo opportunities and concessions, according to the festival's website.

According to city officials, new additions for the 2022 festival will include family activities such as a hay maze, lawn games, fall crafts, a scarecrow village and a costume contest with a chance to win prizes.

In addition, a pumpkin patch will be on-site for purchasing pumpkins and photo opportunities, according to city officials.

Admission into the festival is free, but some events require registration.

The festival will also feature the Pawtoberfest event Oct. 15 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Added to the Huffhines festival in 2016, Pawtoberfest features pet-friendly activities, including two great ball hunts, costume contests and two pet parades. According to city officials, all-day features of Pawtoberfest include craft beverages, shopping, an agility course, arts and crafts with pets, and photo opportunities throughout the festival.

Residents age 21 and up can purchase a presale package for $15 online that includes a Pawtoberfest bandana, a 20-ounce logo beer mug, a voucher for a free beer, $1 off all beer refills and a goody bag of dog treats. Packages will also be available at the venue for $20.
