Here’s everything voters in Richardson need to know for Election Day, Nov. 5.

On the ballot

Dallas and Collin County residents can both find a voter-specific sample ballot online. Dallas County’s sample ballot search function can be found here, while Collin County’s can be found here.

Where to vote

Voters in Collin County and Dallas County are able to vote at any polling location in the county. Voting locations will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Election Day.


Dallas County has 20 polling locations in Richardson. A full list of voting centers in Dallas County can be found online.

Richardson has six Collin County voting centers, and a full list of polling locations can be found on the county’s website.

What to bring

According to the Texas Secretary of State, voters should bring one of the following seven approved forms of ID to the polls:
  • Texas driver's license
  • Texas election ID certificate
  • Texas personal ID card
  • Texas handgun license
  • U.S. citizenship certificate with photo
  • U.S. military ID card
  • U.S. passport
