From a store selling sandals and flip flops to a new clothing boutique, check out five recent openings across Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake.
Flip Flop Shops
California-based Flip Flop Shops opened its second Texas location in Grapevine Mills.
The store sells flip flops and sandals from brands like Olukai, Cobian, Crocs, Havaianas and will have Birkenstocks in the store soon.
Flip Flop Shops specializes in casual, comfortable footwear and offers several waterproof options.
Owner Fakhri Ghali said he is happy to bring the brand’s beach lifestyle to Grapevine Mills.
“This is a very nice mall to be in,” Ghali said. “It’s family friendly and has a lot of nice activities around for the kids and is close to the airport for long-haul travelers.”
Bucketheads
Bucketheads opened a new boutique in Grapevine.
The boutique sells clothing for men, women and children, along with shoes from brands such as Back 70 and Birkenstock. Customers can also shop the store for home decor, jewelry and gifts.
The Grapevine location is the third Bucketheads store, with others in Abilene and Lubbock, according to its website.
Leasha Noblitt, the marketing and operations coordinator for Bucketheads, said there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3 p.m. Oct. 23. The business plans to celebrate the grand opening weekend with food, giveaways and other surprises, Noblitt added.
Moda
Women’s shoe and accessory store Moda opened inside Grapevine Mills.
The store offers a wide selection of boots, sandals and slippers.
Options range from casual flip flops to more formal choices like heels. The store also sells furry boots and bags in multiple colors.
Besides shoes, the store sells purses, hats, jewelry and keychains.
The store is located across from the Levi's Outlet Store.
Game Show Studio
Game Show Studio opened inside Red Door Escape Room in Southlake, bringing game-show-inspired play to the area.
The studio offers players a chance to challenge each other in game show-style competitions like Survey Showdown and Wheel of Wonder.
A full episode of play costs $37.95 per person and lasts one hour, with a capacity for up to 16 players. All game show challenges are led by a trained host.
Smaller groups are able to join games that have already met the minimum required number of players.
NeuroSync Diagnostics
Ambulatory EEG provider NeuroSync Diagnostics opened in Colleyville to provide better remote brain scanning and monitoring services for A&B Neurology.
Neurologist Dr. Babak Rezaei founded both businesses and said not having to outsource for remote scans will help patients receive better care.
“Other companies get their pay no matter what they do, but this way we are actually responsible,” Rezaei said. “So we actually interact with them and there's much better service to the clients and patients.”
Remote EEG testing involves a patient wearing electrodes for 48-96 hours so that brain data can be recorded over a longer period of time in different environments, and this can lead to a better chance of a correct diagnosis.
Rezaei said he looks forward to expanding NeuroSync Diagnostics to work with other neurologists and practices because he understands the importance of timely care and communication.
