First Street traffic signal addition

The project: This project includes bringing two new traffic signals expected to help when a new high school is built in the area, according to Prosper’s capital improvement projects dashboard. The signals will be located at the First Street and Artesia Boulevard intersection.

Update: Construction will also include intersection improvements, such as pedestrian ramps and straight sidewalks. This project is in its design phase with construction tentatively slated to start in summer 2025.

Craig Road construction

The project: This road project will include constructing a modified three-lane commercial couplet from Preston Road to First Street, a modified collector street from First Street to Broadway Avenue, and a rural neighborhood street from Broadway to Fifth. Construction will include paving and drainage work, according to Prosper’s capital improvement projects dashboard.


Update: This project is in its design phase with construction tentatively scheduled to start in spring 2024.

Teel Parkway lane additions

The project: Tackling Teel Parkway, this project will bring two lanes on the east side of an ultimately six-lane divided roadway between US 380 and First Street, according to the town’s capital improvement projects dashboard.

Update: Construction, which is slated to begin in 2024, will include adding a concrete roadway with curb and gutter, underground drainage improvements, and median landscaping improvements.
