Registered voters in Prosper and Celina can cast their ballots for the Nov. 5 general election starting Oct. 21 during the Oct. 21-Nov. 1 early voting period.

What you need to know

Prosper and Celina are split between Denton and Collin counties.

Collin County residents can cast their votes at any of 42 early voting locations countywide, including one in Prosper and one in Celina.

Polling location operating hours vary, according to the Collin County Election Office’s website, and are as follows:
  • 8 a.m.-5 p.m. from Oct. 21-25
  • 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Oct. 27
  • 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Oct. 26 and from Oct. 28-Nov. 1

Denton County residents can cast their votes at any of 54 early voting locations countywide, which includes one in Prosper and one in Celina, according to Denton County’s website.

Polling location operating hours vary, according to Denton County’s website, and are as follows:
  • 7 a.m.-7 p.m. from Oct. 21-26 and Oct. 28-Nov. 1
  • 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Oct. 27

On the ballot

Ballots will feature several federal and state races as well as county races, which include:
  • Collin County Tax Assessor-Collector
  • Denton County Sheriff
  • Denton County Commissioner, Precinct 1
  • Denton County Constable, Precinct 6
  • Collin County Constable, Precinct 3
  • Collin County Commissioner, Precinct 3


Celina ISD voters will also be considering a voter-approval tax rate election, or VATRE, related to the district’s tax rate.

Going forward

Election Day is set for Nov. 5 with voting locations open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., according to the Texas Secretary of State’s website.
