Celina City Council members unanimously approved an $88,593 contract for emergency repairs to Fire Station No. 2 due to water intrusion during a May 14 meeting.

In a nutshell

The repairs will tackle the north, east and south sides of the building where water has been penetrating, according to meeting documents. Repair services will include:
  • Removing existing sidewalks
  • Fabricating new, detached sidewalks
  • Repairing existing irrigation and plantings
  • Redirecting roof drains and site drainage
The west side of the fire station will not need repairs due a similar repair project approved in August 2023 when its driveway was repaired, according to meeting documents.
