The Town of Prosper will host its annual Veterans Day Honor Run at Frontier Park.

The details

This year’s event has been expanded to include three options: a 5K, a 10K and a fun run, according to a news release issued by the town.

The Honor Run serves as a tribute to the men and women who have served in the armed forces and is open to runners and walkers of all ages, per the release. Additionally, families, children and individuals with mobility devices are welcome.

“The Veterans Day Honor Run truly captures the spirit of Prosper—a community that values service, love of country and respect for our nation's heroes,” Mayor David Bristol said in the release. “I invite everyone to come out, participate and show their support for our veterans and their families."

The race schedule begins with an opening ceremony led by Prosper Mayor David Bristol, followed by the start of the 10K race. The 5K race kicks off and the Fun Run will commence afterward. The race will conclude with a medal ceremony at the Frontier Park pavilion.
