Town officials chose to cancel the event out of caution due to chances of severe wind, Communications Director Todd Rice said. Paws on Broadway features multiple tent canopies that could be picked up and thrown by strong winds, Rice said.
There are no plans to reschedule the outdoor event as of April 26, he said.
