What you need to know
Prosper Town Council has two seats up for election and both races are uncontested with one candidate each, according to the town’s website.
Prosper Town Council Place 3 has one candidate, Amy Bartley, who is the incumbent.
Doug Charles is the lone candidate who filed for Place 5.

Prosper ISD has two seats up for election on the board of trustees including Place 2 and 5.
Candidates for Place 2 include:
- Dena Dixon, incumbent
- Allen Rountree
- Kevin McMahon
John Frensley filed for Place 2 but later withdrew it on Feb. 18, according to the district's website.
Candidates for Place 5 include:
Incumbent Tommy Van Wolfe filed to run for reelection but later withdrew it on Feb. 18, according to the district's website.
Candidate who withdraw before Feb. 20 will not appear on the May ballot.
Looking ahead
Election day is May 2 with early voting happening April 20-28.
The last day to register to vote is April 2.
