Cavender has earned 2,732 votes or 52.84% with challenger Scott Bray trailing with 2,438 votes.


Linker leads with 2,825 votes or 53.44% of the votes with opponent Janette Church following with 2,461 votes.

Linker leads with 2,795 votes or 53.6% of the votes with opponent Janette Church following with 2,420 votes.

Collin and Denton counties have released early voting totals for elections related to the two board races for Prosper ISD board of trustees place 3 and 6.

What you need to know
For Place 3, Cavender leads challenger Scott Bray with 1,882 votes or 51.6%, according to preliminary election results. Bray follows with 1,765 votes.
For Place 6, Linker leads challenger Janette Church with 1,967 votes or 52.96%. Church trails with 1,747 votes.

What else?

In early voting, there were 54,401 ballots cast countywide, which represents 7.35% of Collin County's 740,482 voters.

In early voting, there were 29,162 ballots cast countywide, which represents 4.76% of Denton County's 613,020 voters.

Totals from ballots cast May 3 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
