Why are you running for school board?
I aim to preserve Celina’s unique character, especially its outstanding school system. I want to learn from and continue the work of the current school board, analyzing both their successes and challenges, to ensure the ISD’s continued growth and success.
What are the biggest challenges Celina ISD is facing?
The primary challenges are rapid growth and underfunding by the State of Texas.
How do you plan to address these issues?
To address growth, the passing of the current bond is critical. Once passed, managing population growth through strategic facility planning is key, while maintaining a balanced budget and avoiding overbuilding.
What would your top priorities be if you are elected?
My priority is to learn from the experience of current board members, whose guidance has shaped our successful ISD. While change is important, I believe in respecting the current system’s strength and striving to build on its foundation for continued excellence.

Why are you running for school board?
Dan Williams has been a great steward of the mission of CISD. I believe I can carry on that stewardship for Place 2. My intent is to keep our district focused on the foundational faith-based principles that benefit every single student and family no matter what their background.
What are the biggest challenges Celina ISD is facing?
I believe the biggest challenges for CISD are: ensuring that all students are prepared to compete and win in the marketplace when they leave the district; support for the mental health of our teachers and students; teacher recruitment and retention; and responsible growth of our district.
How do you plan to address these issues?
Support CISD’s focus on the worth and purpose of every student’s gifts, talents, and abilities. Support mental health education, resources, and access for teachers and students. Support proven morale/excellence efforts to recruit/retain the best teachers. Balance CISD’s commitment to excellence with CISD’s growth and budget realities.
What would your top priorities be if you are elected?
My top priorities would be: mental health resources for teachers and students; hiring high quality teachers and administrators; ensuring competitive wages and facilities; working with community leaders and businesses to advance out-of-classroom opportunities for Career Technology Education.
