Why are you running for school board?
My 27-year career in law enforcement and national security gives me a unique background in safety, risk and threat assessment and crisis preparedness. We have a duty to be good stewards of our schools, and I can help ensure a safe, prepared, positive learning environment for students, staff and teachers.
What are the biggest challenges Prosper ISD is facing?
PISD officer and teacher retention are issues Prosper ISD must prioritize. Both are critical to a healthy and safe learning environment. Our children deserve the best educators and officers; our community owes them the best support, resources and respect we can provide to ensure their success and long-term commitment.
How do you plan to address these issues?
I will address officer retention by exploring creative solutions to provide competitive salaries and benefits comparable to neighboring districts. To support teacher retention, I will work to improve support from both administration and the community, ensuring educators feel valued, equipped, and committed to our schools.
What would your top priorities be if you are elected?
My top priorities are ensuring our schools remain safe, prepared, and focused on fostering a positive learning environment. I will also work to ensure teachers feel supported and have the tools, resources and professional development they need to succeed and thrive in their roles.
