Why are you running for school board?
I’m running because I’m passionate about giving every child the best education possible. As a speech pathologist and advocate, I’ve seen firsthand how strong schools empower students, support teachers, and strengthen families. I want to ensure Celina ISD remains a place where all children can thrive.
What are the biggest challenges Celina ISD is facing?
Celina ISD is growing fast and we must keep up without losing what makes our schools great. Balancing expansion with quality education, supporting teachers and ensuring resources match our growth are key challenges. We need thoughtful planning to maintain excellence while embracing the opportunities that come with a growing community.
How do you plan to address these issues?
I’ll advocate for smart growth strategies—ensuring funding, staffing and facilities keep pace with our expanding district. Transparency, collaboration, and community input will be key. By listening to parents, supporting educators and prioritizing students, we can navigate growth while maintaining the high standards and close-knit feel that define Celina ISD.
What would your top priorities be if you are elected?
My priorities are protecting educational excellence amid growth, expanding special education resources, strengthening teacher support and increasing community involvement. I’ll push for strategic planning, financial transparency and open communication so families stay informed and involved. My goal is to keep Celina ISD a place where every student and educator succeeds.

Why are you running for school board?
My family moved here in 2007 and were impressed by the frequency of prayer at events. We felt this community understood the importance of God as a foundation for success. I want to help ensure this key foundation stays for generations to come.
What are the biggest challenges Celina ISD is facing?
See question 1. Keeping Faith and God as the core of our district's foundation.
How do you plan to address these issues?
The same way I have addressed it for 16 years. When I first was appointed to the board I promised God that I would continue to serve him in this capacity as long as he sees fit. I will continue to seek his words and truth as I make district decisions.
What would your top priorities be if you are elected?
I feel pretty one dimensional here but I do believe that we are a great district not because of the board, the teachers or the administration, but because we seek to honor a great God. As a result, he chooses to bless this district. Number one priority is seeking his truth.

Why are you running for school board?
I want to make a difference in the lives of every learner and teacher. Education is the foundation of success. My deep-rooted involvement reflects my passion for our schools and my commitment to ensuring every student receives an exceptional educational experience.
What are the biggest challenges Celina ISD is facing?
Funding is the biggest challenge. Despite growth and new mandates, schools haven’t received additional resources. Doing more with less won’t be sustainable. We must ensure schools remain well-equipped, staffed and adaptable to meet every learner’s evolving needs.
How do you plan to address these issues?
I will prioritize funding that directly impacts classrooms—supporting teachers, strengthening academics, and expanding programs. I’ll remain a relentless advocate for Celina ISD, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure our schools grow with excellence, for all learners and educators.
What would your top priorities be if you are elected?
My focus is building a culture of respect, kindness, and high expectations—where students thrive, teachers feel valued and families are engaged. By prioritizing academics, well-being and teacher support, we can embrace growth while protecting what makes Celina ISD feel like home.
