Celina ISD received an overall "B" rating from the Texas Education Agency for its student performance in the 2024-25 school year.

The A-F Accountability System measure how much students are learning in each grade and whether or not they are ready for the next grade, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Celina ISD’s “B” rating received an 87 out of 100. This measures how much students are learning in each grade and whether or not they are ready for the next grade. It also shows how well a school or district prepares their students for success after high school in college, the workforce, or the military, according to TEA.

In a nutshell

All CISD schools received an A or B rating except Martin Elementary School which received a C.

How it works

The A–F Accountability System was established in 2017 by the 85th Texas Legislature through House Bill 22 to provide clear and consistent information on how schools are performing in three key areas:
  • Student Achievement, which measures student performance across all subjects on the STAAR test, graduation rates and student readiness for post-high school success.
  • School Progress, which measures the number of students who grew academically and district performance compared to other districts with similar economically disadvantaged student populations.
  • Closing the Gap, which uses data to find differentials between ethnic groups, socioeconomic backgrounds and other factors.
“Today marks a return to clarity and accountability,” Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath said in a TEA news release. “With the release of the 2025 A–F Ratings, we are reinforcing our commitment to transparency and to providing accurate, readily available information that helps every family understand how their school is doing.”
