Adding an orchestra hall to the district’s second middle school campus, Willard Middle School, as well as Moore Middle School was approved by the district’s board of trustees during a July 28 meeting.
The board approved increasing the guaranteed maximum price of the district’s second middle school to include the orchestra hall during the meeting. Orchestra rooms will also be added to Moore Middle School, according to the agenda.
The increase of $5.98 million for the orchestra rooms brings Willard Middle’s total construction costs to $104.97 million. The district’s board of trustees approved the initial cost of $98.99 million for the school in September 2024.
Looking ahead
The orchestra rooms must be completed by Aug 1, 2026, according to the agreement. Willard Middle School is set to open during the 2026-27 school year.
