The strategic priorities for 2025-2030 were created by over 400 staff members, students, parents and community members, PISD Superintendent Holly Ferguson said during a May 19 board meeting. The priorities will guide the district’s work forward until 2030, she said.
“We all come together to work ... and truly prosper,” Ferguson said.
The overview
The plan consists of strategic objectives around the district’s four guiding principles—champion, empower, cultivate and prosper.
The four goals in the plan are:
- Together we champion: Supporting every student’s journey to excellence
- Together we empower: Developing our people to lead and inspire growth
- Together we cultivate: Creating meaningful connections across our growing community
- Together we prosper: Uniting in shared purpose while honoring individuality
The district will also work to involve families and the local community to foster a shared sense of pride for PISD through the fourth goal. District officials will work to deepen partnerships with area businesses and organizations to expand the opportunities for students, the plan stated.
“Our students rise and fall by the strength of the community around them,” Ferguson said.
