Celina ISD is getting two new buses for student travel to extracurricular programs and other activities.

The district’s board of trustees approved the $229,000 purchase during a May 19 board meeting. The need for activity buses has become important as the district grows in order to support programs and other student opportunities, the agenda stated.

A closer look

The buses have a 46-passenger capacity and will include luggage compartments mounted under the floor for storage. Purchasing the buses will be funded through bond dollars, the agenda stated.

District officials expect the buses to arrive this summer for the 2025-26 school year.
