Prosper ISD received $100,000 for the 2025 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards.

The winners were awarded their recognitions May 4.

The details

Prosper ISD was selected from several school districts and was awarded the funds for the "Large district" category. All the categories and winners include:Three separate judging panels selected five early childhood facilities, five school boards, and eight school district finalists, according to an H-E-B release. Site visits were conducted earlier this year to determine the winners in these categories.

The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards are designed to honor outstanding public school professionals and to thank them for their dedication and commitment, according to the awards' website. Through this program, H-E-B seeks to pay tribute to educators "who go the extra mile" to serve their students and their communities, the website states.

Since it started in 2002, H-E-B has awarded more than $14 million in funding to public school teachers, counselors, principals, school boards and districts, as well as public and private early childhood education centers across Texas.
