Jana L. Thomson Elementary School will open for the 2025-26 school year and is located on the west side of the district in the Legacy Gardens community. The elementary school’s name was announced during a June 17 board meeting.
“I’m here representing all of you amazing educators [and] amazing people that have helped me along the way,” Jana Thomson said.
The background
Thomson has served 32 years in education with 18 of those spent in Prosper ISD. She served as a school board trustee for six years and is currently serving as a board member for the Prosper Education Foundation.
