The details

Laura R. Carter was named the new transportation services director, and Catherine Gregory will serve as the district’s coordinator for professional learning, according to a news release. Carter and Gregory both began their roles Nov. 27.

“She brings best-in-class practices for student transportation, as well as a strong customer service background,” Superintendent Tom Maglisceau said in the release. “As our district continues to experience exponential growth, we know Laura will be able to help our district serve our current students while preparing us for the future.”

As professional learning coordinator, Gregory will carry out professional development aligned with the district’s goals, the release states. She previously served as Allen ISD’s coordinator for strategic initiatives and was a math teacher in Wylie and Rockwall ISDs.

“As our district continues to grow and our student needs vary, we want to ensure our teachers and staff have the professional development necessary to ensure every Bobcat reaches their full potential,” Maglisceau said.
