Prosper ISD officials selected Pogue Construction as the construction manager at risk for the district's 20th elementary school. The district’s school board unanimously approved the contract Sept. 18.

The details

The school construction is part of the 2023 bond program, Deputy Superintendent Greg Bradley said at the meeting. Its funding is contingent on the bond passing in November, but he said the agreement had to be approved now as the school needs to open by August 2025. The preconstruction cost is estimated at $347,000.

Pogue Construction was also selected as the construction manager at risk for Elementary School No. 19, Bradley said.

Elementary School No. 20 will be located in the northwest side of the district in the coming Mosaic community, Bradley said. By the time the school opens, he said the neighborhood expects to have 400 inhabited homes.

“This is a fast-growing community,” Bradley said.
