A family-owned, locally sourced steakhouse and bar is getting closer to opening in Celina.

The Forge 1912 will offer grass-fed steaks, craft cocktails and a selection of wines. All steaks are sourced from K Bar K Ranch, Range Hand Meat Co. and other Texas ranchers, according to its website. All wagyu served is Heartbrand Beef Akaushi raised in South Texas.

Its menu includes appetizers, such as crab cakes and stuffed mushrooms, soups and salads, and sandwiches. The restaurant also offers Texas-style dinners, including herb grilled chicken and pork chops.

The steakhouse is on track to open in May, owner Kristen Ethridge said in an email.
