Hillwood Communities celebrated the grand opening for its 1,380-acre Ramble development in Celina on May 14, according to a news release.
The community is located east of Preston Road between G. A. Moore Parkway and Lynn Stambaugh Parkway.
When it’s finished, Ramble will include over 4,000 homes and two Celina ISD elementary schools, per the release.

Ramble was designed with the “prairie, woodlands and wetlands of Celina” in mind, according to the development’s website.
“From the start of this project, we have worked side-by-side with our neighbors in Celina to deliver a nature-focused community that fits naturally into their backyard,” Hillwood Communities President Fred Balda said in the release.
Planned amenities include:
- 200+ acres of open space
- 18-acre recreational lake
- Seven miles of trails
- Pickleball, soccer and basketball courts
- On-site coffeeshop by 1418 Coffee

Ramble by Hillwood was first announced in early 2024. The development broke ground in October 2024, and the first homeowners are expected to move in later this year, according to the release.
The first phase will include 600 homes, and the rest will be delivered in additional phases through 2045.
