1. Children’s Lighthouse

The franchise, owned by Kirk and Jenny Rose McKean, will offer curriculum-based pre-K, preschool, and advanced pre-K programs. The school enrolls children from infancy through 12 years of age.2. Costco Wholesale

The warehouse site is currently under construction. It will be located at the corner of Preston Road and Ownsby Parkway and is part of a larger mixed-use development that will also feature a Lowes. The December opening date aligns with project representative’s plans to open the store before the end of 2025.3. Methodist Celina Medical Center


Celina’s first hospital is expected to open before the end of March. Once open, the hospital will immediately begin providing emergency and critical care services with plans to offer additional women’s health options such OB-GYN services in August. Other offerings include: 30 medical surgical beds, 12 emergency department beds, eight intensive care unit beds, two procedure rooms, one catheterization lab and three operating rooms equipped with a da Vinci surgical robot. Methodist Celina Medical Center is a 46-acre, $237 million project located at the corner of Dallas Parkway and FM 428. It is roughly three miles from Celina’s downtown square.In the news

4. Murphy USA

The gas station chain received Celina City Council approval to open a location along Preston Road during a Feb. 11 meeting. The property will feature multiple gas pumps and an accompanying convenience store.5. Mavis Tires & Brakes

The store will primarily sell tires and brakes but also offer some minor auto repair services such as oil changes and fluid replacements. Celina City Council members approved a permit allowing the business to open during a Feb. 11 meeting.
