11. H-E-B

Construction on Prosper's first H-E-B grocery store is underway. The grocery chain broke ground April 2. It is slated to open in 2025, though an exact date is not available. The incoming 132,000-square-foot Prosper location will staff approximately 700 people, said Mabrie Jackson, senior director of public affairs for H-E-B.

12. Richland High School

Lute Croy will serve as the principal of Richland High School, which broke ground in August and is set to open in the 2025-26 school year, according to a district news release. Croy serves as an assistant principal at Prosper High School.13. Marriott


The hotel will be the first to open in Prosper, said Mary Ann Moon, Prosper Economic Development Corporation executive director, in an email. The hotel will be Residence Inn by Marriott with an estimated 126 rooms. The $26 million hotel will be located north of US 380 near Windsong Ranch and the future Costco site, according to an Atlantic Hotels news release. The construction groundbreaking and opening date are unknown at this time, Moon said.
