Sylvan Learning of Celina, which offers supplemental education for K-12 students, opened in January.

The learning center is locally owned by Shanna and Corey Miller. Shanna Miller is an educator with more than a decade of experience in Frisco ISD teaching secondary science, according to a news release. The owners opened a permanent location for Sylvan Learning in Celina Town Center after operating out of a temporary location for several months, the release states.

“We’re committed to helping students establish a strong educational foundation because they are the future of our tight-knit community,” Shanna Miller said in the release. “As a former teacher, I knew there was a desperate need for tutoring support right here in Celina. Corey and I felt a responsibility and calling to provide that resource, and we’re thrilled to finally open the doors in our new location.”
