During the holiday season, Dallas Area Rapid Transit will channel its festive spirit with holiday events, trains and buses this year, according to a news release.

The holiday trains and buses are already making their way around North Texas and will continue doing so through the end of the year. Individuals interested in riding one of the holiday trains or buses can visit DART’s dedicated webpage.

What you need to know

Two holiday trains operated by DART will have cars covered with a festive wrap and illuminated with twinkling lights. The trains will make scheduled stops along designated lines during the evening of select weeks.

Simultaneously, three holiday buses will operate along different DART bus routes throughout the remainder of December. DART will also host several holiday station events throughout the festive period, including between 4-8 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Downtown Plano Station.


The details

Stops for the holiday train will be made along Orange Line stations between Dec. 17-25.

The holiday train will stop along the Red Line during the following dates:
  • Dec. 3-9
  • Dec. 28-29
Blue Line holiday train dates are through Dec. 2 and Dec. 30-Jan.1.
