Construction this weekend will cause full lane closures on US 75 beginning early Saturday morning. The closure will begin Saturday at 2 a.m. and will last until Monday at 5 a.m., according to a news release from the Texas Department of Transportation. The freeway will be closed in both northbound and southbound directions, including the entrance and exit ramps to and from President George Bush Turnpike. The lane closures will begin just south of Renner Road to 15th Street, according the news release. US 75 traffic will be directed to the frontage roads. The northbound US 75 HOV lane between Interstate 635 and Galatyn Parkway will also be closed during the construction. The construction comes as crews work on the partial demolition of the second half of the Plano Parkway Bridge as part of the two-phase construction project by the TxDOT, in which lanes will be added along US 75 in addition to access ramps to and from PGBT. Detour routes for the construction are viewable in the image above.
