All Best Buy locations now offer Apple device repair services.

Apple customers in Collin County can save their next trip to the Galleria or Southlake Town Square to repair their devices.

When Apple shuttered all of its Collin County stores in April, customers in cities such as Frisco, Plano and McKinney were left with few options to find repair services. That changed after Best Buy began offering Apple repair services at all of its locations as part of an expansion rolled out June 19.

“If a customer ever needs to repair their products, we want them to feel confident those repairs are done safely and correctly,” AppleCare Vice President Tara Bunch said in a news release. “We’re always looking at how we can reliably expand our network of trained technicians, and we’re excited to partner with every Best Buy store so it’s even easier for our customers to find an authorized repair location near them.”

Best Buy locations can now provide Apple-certified repairs performed by its trained Geek Squad employees, according to the release. The result is 7,600 newly Apple-certified Geek Squad technicians who can offer same-day repair services at all Best Buy locations.

Apple shuttered in April its stores at the Stonebriar Centre in Frisco and The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano. The tech giant also opened a new location in the Galleria in April.
