LifePath Systems, a nonprofit authority providing services for behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders in Collin County, held a ribbon-cutting July 15 for its new pharmacy in partnership with Integrated Prescription Management, according to a July 20 press release. Located at the Plano behavioral health building at 7300 Alma Drive, the pharmacy was launched to further reduce barriers to health care, such as inadequate insurance and transportation, for the over 1,500 clients it serves in the area.

“We’re excited to provide this great opportunity to the people we serve and improve health outcomes across the county,” LifePath Systems CEO Tammy Mahan said in the press release. “In addition to being more convenient and comfortable, this on-site pharmacy is a direct response to the trends we recognized as impeding our client’s progress. Now they can receive vital pharmacy services same day without even leaving the building. Better access means better outcomes. Ultimately, our mission is to ‘serve individuals and families resulting in stronger communities,’ and that’s exactly what this new pharmacy is taking steps to do.”
