The city of Plano will operate on altered facility hours for the Independence Day holiday, according to the city's website.

There will be no trash and recycling collections July 4. Residents scheduled for trash and recycling pickup on Mondays will have pickup July 5, while those who normally have Tuesday pickup will move to July 6. Residents who normally have Wednesday pickup will move to July 7, and those who normally have pickup on Thursdays will move to July 8.

• Carpenter Park, Oak Point, Liberty and Tom Muehlenbeck recreation centers: open 1-6 p.m. July 4


• Day Labor Center: closed July 4

• High Point Tennis Center: open 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. July 4

• Household Chemical Reuse Center: closed July 2

• Interurban Railway Museum: closed July 4


• Jack Carter Pool: open 1-6 p.m. July 4

• North Texas Municipal Water District Transfer Station & 121 Regional Disposal Facility: closed July 4

• Oak Point Nature and Retreat Center: closed July 4

• Pecan Hollow Golf Course: open 6 a.m.-9 p.m. July 4


• Plano Aquatic Center: open 1-6 p.m. July 4

• Plano Municipal Offices: closed July 4

• Plano Public Library (Davis, Haggard, Harrington, Parr and Schimelpfenig libraries): closed July 3-4

• Sam Johnson Recreation Center for Adults 50-plus: closed July 4
