Ramen Belly is slated to open in late April or early May in downtown Plano.

Menu items will include pot stickers, sashimi, ramen and poke bowls. There is also a category called ramen in a blanket, which is described as “sauced up ramen noodles comfortably snuggling between two tonkatsu.”

The eatery is owned by Andy Diep and John Lieu. This will be the second Ramen Belly location; the first one is in Iowa City, Iowa.

“I really like historic downtown Plano because it reminds me of downtown Iowa City,” Andy Diep said in an email as to why they chose Plano for their second location.
