The Granite Park mixed-use property in Plano is making tweaks to its site plan with sights set on future development in the city’s increasingly packed northwest corridor.

The Plano Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday approved revised plats and site plans for two portions of the Granite Park complex, which is located southeast of the Sam Rayburn Tollway and the Dallas North Tollway near the bustling Legacy West projects and other fast-paced development in Frisco.

“After owning the Park for almost [20] years, we are just cleaning up the property lines to allow future development,” Greg Fuller, Granite Park president and chief operating officer, wrote in an email. “The area is becoming more dense, so we are preparing for that down the road.”

Fuller did not specify what forms of development Granite Park is hoping to attract or whether such determinations have been made.

Granite Park, home to a series of office towers and retail centers, has two spots in mind for redevelopment as presented to planning and zoning officials: a parking lot and retail center just south of SH 121; and the parking lot immediately west of Parkwood Boulevard and Parkshore Drive.
