Collin County health officials reported 34 additional cases of the coronavirus from May 30-31, including 12 new cases in Plano.

As of May 31, Plano has 117 active cases in Collin County. The county has a total of 356 active cases.

Including four previously reported Denton County cases, Plano has had 407 total cases since testing began in March. Collin County has reported 1,312 total cases as of May 31.

Of Plano's active cases, six are hospitalized.

Roughly 69% of ventilators and roughly 41% of adult intensive care unit beds are available in Collin County, according to a May 31 update by County Judge Chris Hill.


Collin County has had 942 cases recover, including 286 Plano cases.

As of June 1, the Texas Department of State Health Services is now handling all new COVID-19 cases in Collin County. The county's online dashboard will remain frozen with information from midnight June 1 until its data is coordinated with the state's, according to discussions at a June 1 Commissioners Court meeting.
