3. Bridge demolition forces weekend DNT closure


Plano drivers may need to find alternate routes this weekend when the Dallas North Tollway closes near Tennyson Parkway for bridge demolition. Crews will begin shutting down the main lanes around 11 p.m. on Friday, June 10, according to the North Texas Tollway Authority.

4. Whiskey Cake owners announce new wine bar concept in Plano


Jack Gibbons, president of Front Burner Restaurants whose creations include Whiskey Cake and Mexican Sugar in Plano, is working on his next local project along with business partner Randy DeWitt. This time, it will be wine bar and bistro featuring rotating wines on tap.

5. Impact update: HUB Streat Food Port set to open in downtown Plano this spring


HubStreat Food Port is expected to open in mid- to late spring. The pet-friendly dining and entertainment hub will be located on 1.6 acres at the southwest corner of 14th Street and M Avenue and will be similar to The Truck Yard in Dallas, complete with a variety of rotating food trucks and a full-service restaurant.
