Due to inclement weather, the city of Plano has temporarily closed a number of facilities and services.

According to a news release from the city, the following closures are in effect:
  • Texas Pure Products is closed.
  • Recreation centers are closed.
  • All library locations, including book drops, are closed.
  • The animal shelter is closed.
  • Customer and Utility Services is closed to walk-in and phone customers. Those needing to pay a water bill may visit https://ecop.plano.gov/CUS/.
  • The Adrian Magallanes Day Labor Center is closed.
  • Teen Court is rescheduled for Feb. 20.
  • Trash and Recycling services are canceled for Jan. 31.
  • Heritage Commission meetings scheduled for Jan. 31 have been canceled. Special-called meetings are rescheduled for Feb. 7.
  • The Municipal Court and clerk’s office are closed. Contact the clerk’s office before making an appearance on Feb. 1 for closure updates. All jury trials scheduled for Feb. 1 have been canceled and will be rescheduled. Jurors will be reset and a summons will be mailed to the address on file.
The winter weather may impact scheduled hours for the remainder of the week. The city of Plano suggested all residents check city communication channels before leaving.

Per the release, the Plano Public Works Department has 10 trucks sanding bridges, intersections, fire stations, police stations and other critical facilities. Emergency calls are “slightly above normal” with Plano-Fire Rescue reporting 23 calls after 10 p.m. Jan. 30.

Plano Overnight Warming Stations are available for unsheltered populations at The Salvation Army, located at 3528 East St., Plano.
