According to documents filed for the project, this will be the third phased closure along Jupiter Road for the Silver Line project. Plano will be home to two stations—Shiloh Road and 12th Street—for the proposed commuter rail project.

The Silver Line is an over $2 billion project spanning 26 miles between the Shiloh Road Station in Plano and its last stop inside Terminal B at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Service for the commuter rail is expected to begin between late 2025 and mid-2026.
