The city of Plano is asking for feedback on the plan for the city’s two stations that will be part of Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s Silver Line project.

The backstory

The Silver Line is a planned $1.8 billion regional commuter train that will run through seven cities and link Plano to the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. DART anticipates the commuter rail could begin service in late 2025, according to the Plano comprehensive plan website.

The two Plano stations are set to be located at 1101 Shiloh Road and 1180 12th St. The Silver Line Station Areas Plan is looking at how to best support development and redevelopment opportunities within a half-mile of the planned stations.

The comprehensive plan’s website states the stations are expected to be an “economic development catalyst for southeast Plano and the greater downtown core.”
