The renovation of Jack Carter Park facilities is about to undergo a final phase that will address the restroom facility, athletic fields and irrigation.

The project will cost about $3.7 million to complete with the bid awarded to North Rock Construction LLC during the July 24 meeting as part of the consent agenda.

Two-minute impact

Funding for the improvements come from the 2022-23 Park Improvements Community Investment Program and Park Fee Program, according to a memo given to council. Several areas of the park will be addressed with the allocated funding:
  • Renovation for athletic fields
  • Lighting and irrigation
  • New restroom building
  • Replacement and extension of the park’s trail network
  • Retaining walls
  • Tree planting
  • General site repair
